Technical Inside Sales Coordinator for spare parts and modifications of industrial machinery and equipment


Full-time position in Marietta, GA in the Parts and Service Department at the North American office of a privately owned German corporation supplying custom-designed machinery and equipment for the wood-based panel and metalworking industries.




-          Manage incoming customer requests, including parts clarification and request routing to the proper personnel

-          Responds to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner (email, phone, etc.)

-          Interface with the parts warehouse and Siempelkamp Head office on internal purchase orders, deliveries and requests.

-          Efficiently processes quotes & orders (within ERP system)  as well as returns/warranties

-          Request proposals from third party vendors

-          Communicates with customers/internal status changes for their orders that may impact expected and requested delivery dates as necessary.

-          Works with other departments (purchasing, logistics, accounting, sales, etc.) in a timely and professional manner


Minimum Requirements:


-          High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree in a technical field preferred) or

-          Experience in an equivalent position in technical sales or purchasing

-          Good technical understanding is a must

-          Ability for detail-oriented work

-          Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation

-          Good written and verbal communication skills

-          Good computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook

-          Experience with Sage or Navision business software preferred

-          Open for occasional travel to customer sites within North America



Position of Field Service Engineer - Controls/Automation 


Field Service Engineer, Atlanta, USA




·         Responsible for service of Siempelkamp press lines mainly in the wood based panel industry (ContiRoll, multi-opening and short-cycle presses)

·         Provide supervision for installation and start-up of modernizations and up-grades to existing equipment as well as for new machinery. 

·         Analyze equipment at customer sites for failure diagnostics, trouble shooting and repair. 

·         Communicate and work with company’s engineering staff in Germany and customers’ operation and maintenance personnel. 

·         Work in a team environment guiding and supervising customer’s maintenance and contractor’s installation personnel. 

·         Train customers’ employees in operation and maintenance of company equipment.


Minimum Requirements:


·         Must have degree in electrical engineering or related field.

·         Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering or service of industrial machinery. 

·         Must have detailed knowledge of PLC and automation software, preferably of Siemens and Rockwell products.

·         Must have excellent people skills, good written and verbal communications skills in English language.

·         Must be able to work independently and under pressure. 

·         Position will require extensive travel to customer’s installation sites. Must be willing to work flexible hours at customers’ work sites. Up to 90 % of time
          may be spend “on the road” at customers’ installations. Area of service is primarily USA and Canada but must be willing to travel internationally.

Commissioning Engineer

Full time position in the service department of a privately owned German corporation supplying custom designed machinery and plants for the wood industry.


Working out of company’s North American Service office a new office in Charlotte, NC.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


-          Start up and commissioning services on our new machineries consisting of mechanical, electrical installation supervision as well as setting up of

           operational parameters, adjustments and optimizations.

-          In-depth process know-how in combustion and/or drying related processes.

-          Service and parts sales after technical clarification

-          Mechanical and process inspections of dryer and energy system

-          Consulting for preventative maintenance tasks and parts stocking

-          Service assignment

-          Support tasks related to third party parts and component fabrication, including schedule monitoring, quality checks and inspections.

-          Coordinate work with company’s purchasing and project management departments in German head office and vendors

-          Technical Hotline services




-          Technical background with experience in a similar position in the dryer and heat energy industry

-          Good written and verbal communication skills

-          Good technical understanding

-          Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

-          Willingness to travel internationally (mainly Canada, Mexico) and work out of customer sites for approx. 50 – 60 % of the time

-          Good computer skills,  working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook

-          Basic knowledge in PLC-controls Allen Bradley/Siemens S7/TIA Portal
